Larchmere Festival with “Annie Sloan Chalk Paint(tm)Alley”

Thanks to everyone who came by and specially to all of our workshop graduates who brought their painted furniture to Metheny Weir yesterday to show off at the annual Larchmere Festival!  Despite a record-breaking heat wave, we still had great interest and they even sold some of their painted pieces. Mainly, we enjoyed the time talking with the many folks who came by to learn about Annie Sloan.  The street was busy with people searching for that special item, listening to music, eating the most amazing Cleveland Polish Boys from Seti’s food truck and checking out all the other wonderful restaurants we have to offer on Larchmere.  Our neighbors at Loganberry Book Store even had their “Author’s Alley” in place where people could have their books signed by a Who’s Who of local authors.  The Festival really has become a don’t-miss event!

We love to get feedback from our clients and workshop participants. Here are a few notes we’ve received recently.

Dear Sue and Kim,
I have said this before but it bears repeating.  I am so lucky to have met the two of you and benefited from your collective artistic panache, knowledge and enthusiasm.   You helped me discover new talents to develop in myself (at my ripe old age).  I’m grateful for your generosity from letting me show off and sell (yes! ) some of my pieces! Thank you, thank you, thank you! – Maggi

Kim, it’s always a pleasure and a treat to be a part of Metheny Weir. Your encouragement, tips and classes helped me find my passion. You and Sue are the best and two of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. See you soon…Lisa
